William addis was born at bishops Castle, Lydbury North Salop. c1895 .
He inially served with Kings Shropshire Light Infantry.
1911 a farm waggoner at the folley, Lydbury.
He entered France 24th February 1915 .
He was then transferred to 182nd tunnelling company royal engineers as 148561 and was killed in action 20th May 1916 ,at the time the unit was serving on vimy Ridge.
His mother Mrs Martha addis lived at bishops Castle.
