1915 Trio on original ribbons named to K2544 R Light Act L Sto RN (L Sto on Pair)
Born 2nd October 1890 at Dartmouth, Devon. A farm labourer by occupation.
He joined on 5th April 1909 signing on for 12 years.
Robert served in various ships pre war including Doris and Majestic.
He served from 1913 to 1918 on Hms Adventure, a scout class cruiser and flagship of the Irish Station for part of the war and would have been present when she rescued the crew of a steamship in trouble on Boxing Day 1915.
Postwar he served on HMS Mistley, a minesweeper and sadly died whist serving on her of heart failure following lead poisoning.
Robert is buried in Torquay Cemetery Devon.
His widow Selina Ruby Light lived at 6 Somerton Terrace, St Efrides Rd, Torre, Torquay.
