Plaque correctly named Frederick Godfrey

Frederick was born approx 1876 in Woking to George and Elizabeth.

He married Ethel Green in 1902.

In 1911, we find him living at 111 Brighton Road, Surbiton and working as a filter bell labourer.

His pension cards have his a ddress noted as 14 St Marys Street, Surbiton.

Frederick died after contracting influenza and bronchitis.

At the time he was serving as WR/23850 with t330th Railway Construction Company, Royal Engineers.

He is buried at Bedford House Cemetery in Belgium.

Included in the lot is the cardboard case for the plaque, the (flattened) medal transmittal box with original envelope address to Ethel, his widow.

The medals have the original silk ribbons.
