Viccars govett Crews was born at Leicester, Leicestershire 22nd September 1885 .

1911 a sergeant serving with the 21st Empress of India Lancers.

Ww1 was A staff sergeant with no 1 inspection section at ishapore, India ( medal named to i u l Indian unattached list ).

Post war he transferred to the Indian Ordnance department and was appointed conducter later commisioned lieutenant ( assistant commissary) March 1934 .

Captain ( deputy comm) March 1936 .

He retired in 1937 and was awarded his Military mbe the same year .

1939 he is a Captain ( equipment officer in Royal Air force ).

He was advanced to squadron leader in June 1941 ( equipment section).

Viccars Govett Crews died 26th June 1973 at worthing .
