Ribbon bars which also inc ribbon for her cb ( sadly this is missing from the group ). A printed out sheet with her photo and history on it .

Phillipa Frances Marshall was born Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire 4th November 1920 .

She was educated at St Dominics school for girls .

She joined the womans auxiliary Air force in 1941 .

Commissioned as assistant section officer 10th June 1942 .

On formation of the womans royal Air force in February 1949 she transferred across with rank of flight officer with seniority to 10th december 1946.

Promoted to squadron officer 1st July 1953 and appointed officer of order of the British Empire 1956 .

Promoted to wing officer on 1st January 1964 and group officer 1st July 1966.

From 1968 – 69 she served as Commanding administration officer of raf strike command.

On 1st July 1969 she was appointed director of the womans royal army force with the the rank of Air commodore and also Honorary adc to the Queen.

She was appointed a companion of the order of the Bath in 1971 .

She stepped down as director on 7th July 1973 and officially retired from the service on 1st September that year .

She died on 4th February 2005 aged 84 .
