Ww2 group of 6 inc . 1939 star / Africa Star / Italy Star/ France and Germany star / defence and war medals unnamed as issued with original raf cut ribbons.
Transmittal box and slip box addressed to him at sgts mess of raf Shawbury in Shropshire.
Various other period papers relatingbto his service and his Royal Air Force service & release book.
Geoff Walker was born at Ashtead in Surrey 15th November 1914 .
He enlisted into the rafvr on 6th July 1940 as a clerk .
According to the typed out sheet that accompanied the group he served with Air traffic control 1st in England then covering the army landings in North Africa, sicily and Italy then latterly d day in France.
He was discharged in May 1949 and then spent 2 years at the institute of musical instrument technology in London learing how to tune and repair pianos and organs .
He married Ann in 1951 .
Hd enjoyed good health until his final year being admitted twice into Epsom hospital in fact celebrated his 100th birthday there with a special tea and cake in the ward .
He died peacefully in hospital on 22nd January 2015 .
