Correctly named BZ1854 SW Long RNVR
Sellsby William Long was born to Henry and Emily in 1889 in Windsor, Berkshire.
He enlisted into the RNVR in mid 1916 and served as a telegraphist. His civilian trade is noted as an accountant and we see in 1911, he worked for a tobacco firm in Stourbridge. He served until May 1919.
In 1921, we see an entry in the London Gazette for him showing his employment as a Ministry of Labour clerk.
Sellsby died in Downend, Gloucestershire in 1960. His address at that time is noted as 23 Stanbridge Road, Downend.
