Edward littlefield was born c1893 at St lukes, Portsmouth, Hampshire.

It seems he joined the army aged 18 20th April 1911.

He entered theatre 3 30th March 1915 .

He was severely Wounded at Suvla Bay 26th November 1915 being evacuated 1st to mudros then Malta and finally via the hmhs Gloucester to England he was hospitalised until 18th December 1916 and another period in hospital he served as a cook in the Royal Air Force in Egypt 25th May 1918 until January 1919 .

He was discharged with a swb in 1919 .
