Correctly named M-340557 Pte HJ Fiford ASC

Henry Joseph lived at 19 Radley Mews, Shatford Road, Kensington. He was a garage/cab proprieter when he enlisted and served with the 648th Company from the 8/8/1917 until his discharge due to malaria 24/5/1919. He served in German East Africa.

He was married to Edith Blanche Fiford  and in 1939, was living at 647 Fulham Road, Fulham& Hammersmith. A London Gazette report in 1933 shows he dissolved his partnership in his garage with William Pollard. It appears then that he became a wine merchant. He died in April 1955, again, this is reported in the London Gazette.
