Correctly named pair to 406030 Pte J T Buteux Queens. He also served as 71444 in the Labour Corps.

This is his full WW1 entitlement.

Jeremiah Thomas Buteux was born in 1879 in St James Holborn. He married in 1908 and died in 1941 at Shoreditch Hospital.

In 1939 he is recorded as living at 19 Eastern Road, Wood Green and working as the foreman of transport for a tobacco company and was the ARP warden for them so possibly awarded a Defence Medal.

More research could be done to assure the award of the Defence Medal, it arrived to us without one.

On new modern ribbon.
