George Walter Ellis was born c1888 at Sheffield in Yorkshire.

1911 living in Blackpool in Lancashire a cellarman by occupation.

He was serving with 12th service battalion the Royal scots ( Lothian regiment) when initally marked as missing later killed in action 11th April 1918 during battle of lys ( operation georgette, 4th battle Ypres) .

His brother 16467 bsm Charles Ellis rfa was also kia on 4th October 1918 .

His next of kin were parents Tom and Hannah Ellis of 57 Chapel St, Blackpool ,Lancashire ( same address as George lived 1911 ) .

His bwm is missing location unknown .
