Enlisted 15th November 1915 .

Serving with 5th battalion September 1916 .

Suffered trench foot 17th December 1916 .

Then 10th Battalion 1917 and wounded gunshot wounds shoulder 23rd March 1918 sent to England via hospital ship cambria the 10th Battalion were defending beumetz and hermies Ridge on 23rd when hit by heavy shelling in opening days of the German spring offensive.

1921 a paint mixer and grinder living at 209 Gooch St, Birmingham.

He died 2nd January 1970 at West Bromwich.
