Fred was born 13th January 1895 at Wrexham in Denbighshire.

A Fitter & Turner by occupation he joined the Royal Navy in April 1918 .

He served from June to October 1918 on Hms Napean part of 4th destroyer flotilla.

Then November 18 until February 1919 on Hms Sylph a r class destroyer part of the Harwich force .

Demobbed 13th February 1919 .

 

A bend to suspender ring and some marks to rear of medal please see pictures .
