Harry Eaton manktelow was born c1887 at Tenterden in Kent.

1911 he was serving in 20th company royal engineers as a Lance Corporal living at Mount wise barracks in Devonport his occupation given as printer .

He was entitled to a bwm as well as the Victory ( whereabouts unknown).

He served on post ww1 and is noted as serving in Malta in 1921 where he became a Mason.

He was awarded his long service good conduct medal 17th December 1925 at the time he was warrant Officer Class 2 .

By 1939 he was living in Portsmouth and noted as a printer for London evening standard .

He died in Portsmouth 26th February 1954 .
