Charles Edward bew was born October 1884 at Holywell in Flintshire.

A miner by occupation he entered France 12th June 1915 .

17th June 1915 transferred to 176th Tunnelling Company royal engineers.

13th June 1916 admitted to 6th field ambulance.

14th October 1917 severely reprimanded for drunk on active service at roltincourt? .

His service record notes mentioned in field Marshal sir Douglas haigs despatches whist serving at 5th army mining school .

1921 13 checkett St, walsall,Staffordshire a mine owner of Walsall Road colliery, Bentley.

ahe died at Walsall in October 1957.
