Thomas was born 18th March 1973 at St augustine, massachusetts, USA.

He joined the Royal Navy 18th march 1891 .

Joining the Royal Fleet Reserve ( Devonport) 25th May 1913 .

During ww1 he served on

Hms illustrious 27th August 1914 – 26th November 1915 a guard ship for home fleet .

hms vengeance  16th December 1915 – 5th March 1917  , she saw service in East Africa campaign inc operations leading to the Capture of dar es salaam .

He died in 1952 .
