Herbert henry hanton was born 16th Jan 1920 at Wandsworth.

1939 living at 5 cotman St, Wandsworth a public library assistant.

He was commissioned temporary sub lieutenant in Royal naval volunteer Reserve in 1943 and married same year In Devon.

1945 listed as serving at hms brontasaurus ( combined operations , no 2 combined training centre ,major landing craft ).

He died at Croydon 2nd January 1980 just short of his 60th birthday .
