Working his way up 1st mate before being discharged I 1942 at Cardiff to join the Royal Army service corp water transport .
Inc are his 3 ww2 medals the 1939 star , Atlantic star and war medal unnamed as issued.
It seems he served with 99 coy rasc wt out of Cairnryan.
His address given as gwelfor, Cairnryan, Stranraer, Wigtownshire .
He changed his name at some point adding in the mcloughlin all mentioned in his mn certificate of service .
It seems he continued postwar with rasc disposing of government stores and dumping explosives in Irish Sea from exnavy landing crafts .
There are many documents inc it seems he was based out of Dublin Ireland during late 1930s with saorstat and continental steamship Co.
He also passed a 1st aid course with St John ambulance association in Dublin March 1939 .
He retired from war dept march 1958 .
