Frederick was born to Joseph Green and Mary Ann Skelton in 1860 in Birmingham.
He married his wife Margaret Booth in Longton, Stoke on Trent in 1892. We see in 1901 and 1911, he was living at 109 Bucknell New Road, Hanley and working as a bill poster.
He enlisted into the Royal Engineers and was sent overseas to France in October 1915 earning himself a 1915 Star Trio. He served with the 10th Labour Battalion. He was 55 at that time!
He later had a transfer to 366 Company Labour Corps with a number change to 295198. He was awarded a Silver War Badge numbered B27717 for sickness and was discharged in October 1918 aged 58!
We see in 1921, Frederick is now a widower living with his sons family at 23 Albert Place, Hanley. He is working as a potters assistant and fireman at Twyfords Sanitary Earthenware Company.
Frederick Died in 1930.
