Framed WWI Memorial Scroll named to Sapper Frederick George Robinson
Accompanying WWI Memorial Plaque named Frederick George Robinson

Frederick was born in 1896 to Arthur and Agnes in Farringdon near Alton, Hampshire.

We see the family in 1911 living at Southwood Farm, Dummer, Basingstoke where Frederick worked as a labourer.

Having enlisted, he was serving with the 37th Signal Company Royal Engineers when he died on the 20th of February 1917. He held the service number 50144.

He is entitled to a 1915 Trio having arrived in France in July 1915.

His parents are noted as living at Gradwell Cottage, Four Marks, Alton at this time.

He is buried at Barlin Communal Cemetery in Pas De Calais.

He is also remembered on the Bagshot War Memorial.
