2038 Pte Albert Shore. 23rd Bn (2nd Football Bn) Middlesex Regiment. Died from wounds received in action on 15/6/1917 at the Battle of Messines, aged 17. Lived at 37 Inkerman Street, Aston, Birmingham.

Buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery in Belgium.

 

45732 Pte Albert Shore. 10th Bn Cheshire Regiment. Died 23rd of March 1918. Born in 1890 and lived at 257 Market Street, Hyde, he was a clogger by trade. He enlisted in December 1915and was killed in action during an unsuccessful surprise attack by the Germans which was repelled by Lewis Gun fire in the area of Vaux.

Remembered upon the Arras Memorial.

 

4622 Pte Albert Shore. 2/5th Bn Duke of Wellingtons. He lived at 46 Bankfield Road, Mold Green in Huddersfield and enlisted in November 1915. He was killed in action at Beaumont Hamel whilst taking Orchard Valley, Wundtwerk during actions on the Ancre.

He is remembered upon the Thiepval Memorial.
