Correctly named 46341 Pte RT Allen Linc R

Reginald Thomas was born in 1887 to Eliza and we see in 1911, he was a milk carrier by calling and living at 49 Brushfield Road, Nottingham.

Also in 1911, Reginald married Georgina Florence Hellen Sleath.

He served with the Lincolnshire Regiment and served overseas. He was later transferred to the Non Combatants Labour Corps and from there he was discharged with VDH, valvular disease of the heart.

Unfortunately, the rolls do not tell us his battalions

He had served from December 1915 until February 1918 and was awarded the Silver War Badge numbered 328177 (not present). His address upon discharge is given as 66 City Road, Dunkirk, Nottingham.

In 1939, we see him with his family still living at 66 City Road, Dunkirk, Nottingham. He is seen to be working as a ‘rail less car cleaner’ for the local corporation.

Research shows us Reginald died in 1968.

The Pair is his full medal entitlement.

The medals have modern replacement ribbons.
