Correctly named 226566 Cpl J Naish Manch R

Born in 1891, we see James Hartley Naish in 1911 living with his family at 36 Lyne Road, Newport. He is recorded as working as a basket weaver.

He served with the 3/1st Bn and the 1/2 Bn of the Manchester Regiment as well as 910 & 913 Compamies of the Labour Corps with the service number 513832. He eventually ends up serving with the Royal Fusiliers in the 44th Garrison Bn with the service number GS/125105.

In 1939, we see him living with his wife, Margaret Henrietta Denman, whom he married in 1920, at 3 Ross Street, Newport and is now working as a labourer/railway engineer.

James died in 1980.
