Frederick Charles Pearson was born to Frederick and Charlotte in London on the 29th of August 1899.
We see he is baptized the same year and his address given as 33 Bendish Road, East Ham, London.
We next see Frederick in 1902 when he is placed into a childrens home.
In 1911, we see him back with his family and living at 100/101 St Christophers Buildings in Marylebone.
He enlists into the Royal Navy and his first posting is HMS Vivid in March 1916. He was a lift boy in civilian life.
From November 1916 until January 1919, he serves aboard HMS Courageous and is present for the 2nd Battle of Heligoland Bight where she was to fire 92 sorties at the High Seas Fleet and score a direct hit on SMS Pillau though doing no real damage.
He was present at Scapa Flow for the High Seas Fleet Surrender in November 1918.
He had left HMS Courageous before it was fully converted to an aircraft carrier although he did serve aboard HMS Vindictive aircraft carrier in 1922.
He married Beatrice May Aldred in 1923.
He served with the Royal Fleet Reserve from 1929 until 1938 and was re-called for service at the beginning of WWII.
He was to serve the majority of WWII with HMS Cochrane, the Royal Navy landbase at Rosyth.
In his records we see he was awarded an MID in 1945. LG entry, supplement 37380 page 6006.
Frederick died in 1970.
