Samuel a steel moulder by occupation born 1898 and living at 13 mcewan street, parkhead ,Glasgow.

Enlisted 30th November 1915 .

Served with 6th Queens own Cameron Highlanders suffered a gunshot wound to abdomen report 13th April 1918 .his next of kin sent a telegram confirming he was dangerously ill with gsw abdomen.

Was discharged with 80% disablement due to wound 17th December 1918 and was awarded £35 to buy a horse and van ( cart ) for work by grant by military service liability department, kings fund .

His widow lived at 115 dalness Street, Glasgow.
