A swing mounted as worn group of 6 medals and ephemera relating to fx80449 electrician Air mechanic Douglas hugh mcgrandles .

Born 16th July 1920 at Govan Hill, Glasgow a messenger by trade and member of Church of Scotland.

Lived at 32 Elizabeth street, Ibrox, Glasgow.

1939 star ,Atlantic star, Africa Star with North Africa 1942-43 clasp, Italy Star, Burma Star with Pacific clasp & war medal unnamed as issued.

Photo of Douglas whist a member of crew of hms Rodney (1st April 1937 to 6 Jan 1939).

Served at various naval Air stations during war and also on aircraft carriers worked on walrus ,barracuda ,fireflies ,seafire and sea fury planes .

Comes with several original documents as pictured all his awards confirmed .

Volunteered 31st December 1935 discharged to Royal Fleet Reserve 1957 .
