John was born in 1892.
He served with the 12th Bn and also held the service number 265071.
He lived at 57 Percy Street, Bootle, Liverpool.
A wound report found for him dated 25/5/1915. It is reported he recieved a gunshot to his left leg.
He was serving with the 7th Bn as a Lance Sergeant on the 23rd of October 1917.
He was discharged in April 1919.
The medal has a modern replacement ribbon.
