Stanley Pierce Jones born Wrexham, Denbighshire 27th May 1896.

A newsboy by occupation he enlisted as boy class 2 on 2nd April 1912 in hms impregnable.

Served hms orion 29th Jan 1913 to 25th October 1915.

Hms rosemary a minesweeper sloop performing minesweeper and anti submarine duties from 1st April 1916 to 27th July 1916 ,4th July hms rosemary was hit from a torpedo fired by u63 blowing off her stern and killing 3 crew members , she was towed back to the Humber for repairs .

He later served in hms resolution and was discharged/ invalided out with heart disease organic due to service 3rd December 1919 .
