Ww1 British War Medal on short original ribbon named to 15912 pte e t banks r w fus .

Edward thomas banks was born 17th February 1892 at Ruabon, Denbighshire, Wales.

1911 11 new St, Rhos, Wrexham a coal miner ( filler ).

He enlisted 2nd October 1914 and entered France with 13th Battalion royal Welsh Fusiliers ( 1st North Wales Battalion) 1st December 1915 .

He was wounded 11th June 1918 and was discharged 15th February 1919 due to impairment since joining the service .

1939 living at Southampton a incapacitated colliery hewer .

He lived at 9 nuns Road winchester and died in August 1960 at Mount sanatorium, Bishopstoke, Eastleigh, Hampshire a retired hospital porter.

9 of service number is lightly impressed.
