Albert lewis webb was born April 1892 at lockerley, Romsey, Hampshire.

1911 living at stoney batter ,West tytherley ,Salisbury. a farm waggoner by occupation.

He was sadly drowned when the hmt Royal Edward was torpedoed enroute to the Dardanelles ( galipolli). 13th August 1915 ,he is commemorated on the helles memorial .

The 2nd Hampshire regiment lost 213 men in the sinking with 982 on board being casualties .
