Correctly named 313 Pte H Hopkins 6/Welsh Regt
Hopkin Hopkins was born in Morriston, Swansea in 1880.
He enlisted into the 6th Welsh in 1908 having already been serving in the Glamorgan Voluntary Reserves.
He worked in Upper Forest TinplateWorks in Morriston.
He was appointed Lance Corporal in 1912 and was released from service as time served in 1914.
He served with the 6th Welsh during WWI with the service number 265625 and was discharged in January 1919 after contracting Emphysema and Chronic Bronchitis.
Records show him living at 12 Bryneithin Terrace in Morriston, Swansea in 1919 and again in 1921 where we see he is out of work. He is living there with his wife Mary Jane and family.
