Correctly named 11078 Serjt WH Adams 36th SD RGA

William Henry Adams was born in 1875 in London.

He attested aged 20 in 1895 whilst working as a cellarman.

It is recorded that he was serving with the 2nd Tower Hamlet Volunteer Engineers at this time.

His address, or his mothers address is given as 171 Colesworth Buildings, London.

He was posted to Gibraltar in October 1896 and then onto South Africa in December 1899 where he reamined until August 1900.

The clasps are confirmed in his service records.

In 1902 he married Emma Knight.

He was discharged from service in 1911.

The medal has a modern replacement ribbon. A nice find to the 36th.
