Euacbius Arthur gracias was born in India 8th September 1876 .

Seems his unit the 1st punjab volunteer rifle Corps may have served in China during the boxer rebellion in very small numbers .

Married in rawalpindi, bengal in 1904 to Florence Josephine dunne .

They had a daughter who was born and died in 1914 in India.

Served as an officer in Indian military accounts department until incapacitated when he retired to England

In 1939 living at the hedgerows, Mountnessing Road, Billericay in Essex.

He died 3rd June 1940 .
