Arthur Cecil Roper was born tasmania .

Noted as seniority 1st July 1917 service with 1st ,2nd and 4th battalions .

2nd – 5th July 1916 2nd / 24th battalion with trench fever.

Wounded 2nd April 1918 .

He is noted as captain on mic but medal roll lists him as lieut so correct as per medal .

Ww2 he was a captain 136881 Hampshire regiment 26th June 1940 .

On his probate he is listed as a major ( retired ).

More research needed.
