An interesting group Ww1 pair with long original ribbons named to.

Period Miniature group bwm , Victory & rnr decoration swing mounted as worn.

Admiralty postal tube addressed to ” The divisional naval transport officer rouen ” containing a Royal naval reserve commision scroll dated 13th May 1917 confirming horace Clough a Paymaster in the rnr .

Horace Clough was born at Huddersfield in Yorkshire on 16th May 1877 the son of Liberal member of Parliament Walter Owen Clough my, jp & brother of Ernest Marshall Owen Clough my, jp, cmg .

He was a chartered accountant by occupation.

He joined the Royal Naval Reserve 10th december 1904 as acting assistant Paymaster he resigned in 1906.

He obviously rejoined again and served in France.

Retiring due to age as Paymaster lieutenant commander 16th May 1922 .

1939 A chartered accountant ( retired lieutenant commander rnr ) .

He died at grosvener House, Brighton in April 1968 .

His rnr full size decoration is sadly missing from the group but could be replaced by the purchaser.
