He served in 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Lancashire Fusiliers.
He was wounded ( report date June 1918 ) , whist attached to a trench Mortar Battery.
In 1939 He was living at 183 gt Western St in Manchester.
He died 4th October 1948 and is buried in southern cemetery in Manchester.
