Thomas was born 15th December 1895 at Gobowen nr Oswestry in Shropshire.
A groom and gardener by occupation he enlisted I Kings Shropshire Light Infantry 15th September 1915.
He entered France 27th September 1915 until 8th July 1916 .
Thomas was discharged due to nephritis due to exposure and discharged 8th June 1917 as permanently unfit due to service .
Sadly he died of his illness on 12th October 1917 being buried in Whittington Church cemetery.
His papers survive online and printed copies will be inc to confirm the above details .
