Ww1 Victory on original ribbon named . PLY 563 pte w workman rmli.

William workman was born 22nd June 1873 at chorlton ,Manchester, Lancashire.

He enlisted 22nd April 1891.

1911 living at 31 admiralty Street, East Stonehouse, Devon .

Transferred to Royal Fleet Reserve 8th September 1912.

Ww1 served hms canopus 10th August 1914 – 5th May 1916 so would have been present at battle of Falklands and the Dardanelles Campaign.

June 1916 to January 1919 served Hms powerful.

1921 27 King Street, Tavistock, Devon a labourer at the Manor House, Tavistock.

1939 a Royal Marine pensioner living at 49 Church way , Plymouth.

He is noted on his record as died 25th October 1962.

He is further entitled to a 15 star ,bwm & a Africa medal with somaliland clasp whereabouts unknown.
