Correctly named 63049 Pte J Shedden KOYLI

Born in 1899 to Thomas and MaryAnn,  John is found in 1901 and 1911 at 18 Tyrell St, Low Moor, Bradford. He is been to be working as a carter/manufacturers warehouseman.

He enlists into the KOYLI in November 1917 and goes overseas to France on the 17th of July 1918 where he served with the 2/4th Battalion.

He was wounded by a gunshot in the leg whilst fighting at Bullicourt at the beginning of September 1918.

He married Viola Fairfield in 1919.

In 1939 we find him living at 193 High St, Bradford. He is then working as a Public Works contractor.

John died in 1968 in Bradford.
