Correctly named J88801 SH Hearsey Ord RN

Sidney Herbert Hearsey was born to William and Mary Ann in 1900 in Greenwich.

Prior to elisting, his trade is noted as Stoker.

He enlisted in early 1918 and after his training at Pembroke I, he was posted to HMS Mars. Mars was the depot ship at Invergordon and served Cromarty Firth.

In 1921, we find Sydney living with his parents at 53 Villas Road, Plumbstaed, Kent and is working as labour on locomotives for an ordnance factory.

He married Vioet Milton in 1924.

In 1939, we find him with Violet living at 532 West Horne Avenue, Mottingham, Bromley, Kent. He is now working as a War Office painter/labourer.

Sydney was awarded thr Imperial Srervice
