Correctly named 94312 Pte I Brown MGC

KGVI Special Constable Medal correctly named Isaiah Brown.

Isaiah was born in Middlesborough in 1891 to William and Margaret.

He served in India only during WWI according to his MIC and he entitled to a Pair only.

He also served in the Yorkshire Regiment with the service number 9323.

He married Minnie Swarbrick in 1920.

In 1921 we find the living at 9 Sale Street, Leeds, with Isaiah working as an iron plate driller for Leeds Forge Company.

In 1939, we see them now living at 7 Leamington Street in Leeds. Isaiah is still a steel driller by occupation. It is also recorded that he is a Special Constable in Leeds City.

Isaiah died in 1969.

Both medals have original silk ribbons with the Special Constable Medal also having the Long Service 1949 clasp.
