Robert James morton was normally 25th September 1880 at Glasgow in Scotland.

A nautical optician by occupation he attested 7th February 1916 address given as 160 St Joseph St, lachine, lochs, pa.

He served with the 14th battalion, candia infantry being wounded gun shot wounds buttock in April 1917 ( vimy Ridge?). he was treated at wimereux stat hospital .

Sentenced to 120 hours detention & 5 days pay for drunkeness.

Suffered from malaria in 1918.

Transferred late war as air mechanic in 1st fighter squadron, Canadian Airforce.

Nok his wife lived at 22 Appin way , Glasgow.
