1911 still living there at Gibson St a coalminer .

He entered Balkans ( gallipoli ) 5th October 1915 .

He served with the 8th service battalion ( attached to 34th trench light Mortar Battery)

Also the 19th battalion ( 2nd tyneside Pioneers) & 1st Battalion.

All Northumberland Fusiliers.

Wounded several times report dates .

10th November 1917 / 16th 1st 1918 /  20th May 1918 .

And hospital 30th Sept 1917 with pyrexia and mustard gas poisoning .
