1915 trio on long original ribbons named to 1697 pte g Austin Essex yeo .

Served a coy 1/1 Essex Yeomanry when wounded in France and Flanders gunshot wound left elbow 14th May 1915 and evacuated on hospital ship asturias. ( noted as 29 years old and 5 years with unit ,3 months with field force).

Also served as 80556 2/1 Essex regiment and 235566 in 10th Lincolnshire Regiment ( Grimsby chums ) until discharged 17th February 1919 .

So born c 1885 one George Austin we found was born 1884 at St Osyth, 1911 living at springhill, St Osyth a horseman on farm ,more research needed by purchaser to confirm if that might be him .
