A victorian India General Service Medal with Burma 1889-92 clasp named to 2666 serjt r parsons 2nd bn Devon regt.
Richard was born c1859 at broad Clyst in Devonshire.
He reenlisted as 14797 sergt in Devonshire Regiment 7th December 1914 and discharged 15th May 1918 with lumbago aged 57 years of age having seen overseas service.
He died aged 80 in Oct 1939 in Central Devon.
