A nice grouping of victorian long service good conduct medal named to Henry callaway cpo hms Vivid.

A photograph of  Henry  in uniform with a hms Vivid captally taken at Stonehouse in Devon.  On rear of photo is written Henry 124646 ( his service number ).

A postcard of  the orbita an auxiliary cruiser/ troopship which Henry served on from July 1915 until October 1918 .

Born 2nd February 1868 at Stoke Damerel in the county of Devonshire.

He was a painter by occupation when he joined the Royal Navy in September 1883 as a boy sailor class 3 .

He was a seaman Gunner 1st class and then a chief petty officer when he recieved his long service good conduct medal in 1901 .

He was discharged to pension from Hms Cambridge in February 1906 .

Joining the Royal Fleet Reserve.

Now an insurance agent by occupation.

He was mobilised 2nd August 1914 and served until demobilised 1st February 1919 .
