William wallace daws was born October 1890 at Bermondsey in Surrey.

Served as a rifleman with 1/16th london regiment ( Queens Westminster Rifles).

He was wounded 2nd October 1916 .

Serving as 552028 with 1st 16th he was killed in action 14th April 1917 whist the 16th was taking part in the Battle of Arras at wancourt Tower Ridge during the German retreat to the Hindenburg Line.

His parents lived at Rebecca terrace, gomm Road, Rotherhithe.
