Richard hosking was born st Stephens, Cornwall 16th March 1880.

He enlisted 10th december 1915 into Royal marine light infantry.

Severely wounded by gunshot wound neck whist serving in 1st Royal Marine battalion ,Royal Naval Division ,14th October 1918.

Demobbed 23rd February 1919 .

1921 a bargeman by occupation living at st gupton ,St Stephens, Cornwall.

1939 a deckhand hm tug Devonport, living at Saltash, Cornwall.
