Wounded gunshot wound left knee 3rd July 1916 whist serving in c Coy 7th battalion Lincolnshire Regiment 17th division ( at time the battalion was fighting at fricourt in battle of somme ).evacuated by ambulance train.

Discharged from 3rd battalion Lincolnshire Regiment 30th October 1917 due to wounds.

1939 an agricultural labourer and arp warden at splisby in Lincolnshire.
