A ww1 1915 trio and plaque plaque named to reginald charles gunter medals named to w1618 dvr r c gunter rfa ( ra on pair )

Reginald was born c1896 he has the w welsh prefix to his service number he served with d battery 122 brigade Royal Field Artillery and was kia 16th August 1917 .

Pair to his brother  named to 61067 pte e l gunter welsh r.

Ernest Leonard gunter served in various units starting with 17th welsh ( Cardiff) 1st Glamorgan bantams .

Then In the 9th entrenching battalion .

6th welsh  ( 3rd Glamorgan)

The Drake battalion royal naval division.

And the 10th Kings Shropshire Light Infantry  ( Shropshire & Cheshire yeomanry Battalion) .

He was noted as wounded in action with ksli report dates 22/10/18 & 7/12/18 .

He lived at Monmouth.

Their mother Alice turnbull Newton lived at court lodge , Dixon Rd,  Monmouth.
